Dear Mr. Ishtiaq Ahmed,
I came across your interesting article: Bigotry’s march: 1929-2011 where among other matters which I will not comment on, you wrote:
“The whiskey-drenched upper classes of Lahore think that the Lahore Canal is some insurmountable physical barrier that protects them from the tentacles of the growing fascist monster. Just look around and see how well-prepared, co-ordinated and skilfully orchestrated is the foul propaganda barrage that has been let loose to project the assassin, Malik Mumtaz Hussain Qadri, as a great champion of Islam.
Pakistan is in a state of near anarchy. The government lacks parliamentary majority in the National Assembly and the PML-N seems determined to bring it down. Pakistan is a fast failing state, but has not failed yet. Contrary to the fatwa of some ulema that Salmaan Taseer should be refused an Islamic burial, other clerics were willing to lead his funeral prayers. Thousands of people took part in the ceremony. He was buried with full official protocol, his bier being carried by men in uniform. He was given a state funeral with full honours. It means that not all people have gone mad.
Salmaan Taseer was a brave man and one with strong convictions. Such individuals are becoming rare commodity in Pakistan. Something drastic needs to be done. Our very active judiciary must do its duty. Malik Mumtaz Hussain Qadri and his accomplices should be tried and meted out punishment they deserve for the crime they have committed. This is the opportunity. It is now or never. Unless the PPP-led Federal Government repeals the blasphemy law, it might as well pass on the unenviable task of proving Pakistan to be a failed state to someone else.”
May I just point out the following from my article: The bogus Hegelian Dialectic – Salman Taseer’s Murder and Islamofascism
As you correctly identified in your article: “The whiskey-drenched upper classes of Lahore think that the Lahore Canal is some insurmountable physical barrier that protects them from the tentacles of the growing fascist monster. Just look around and see how well-prepared, co-ordinated and skilfully orchestrated is the foul propaganda barrage that has been let loose to project the assassin, Malik Mumtaz Hussain Qadri, as a great champion of Islam.” Yes, you are so correct, and isn’t it awfully similar to the propaganda barrage to make the prostitute look like a virgin?
I am sure you couldn’t agree more, that the murdered do not become moral overnight just because the murderer was immoral.
Even though, the murdered may have been “brave man and one with strong convictions”. Al Capone too had strong convictions, I am sure. Makes sense don’t it? So make a case that Salman Taseer was not a corrupt asshole (not to speak ill of the dead or anything but those who live by the terror die by terror) – and I’ll buy your argument that “Such individuals are becoming rare commodity in Pakistan.”
Okay then, the rest of your analysis of Salman Taseer’s murder, by drawing upon a long history is entirely specious. In fact, outright bullshit, if I might be pardoned the rather plebeian expression.
Let me prove it to you – because you haven’t a friggin clue!
Yet, look at your imposing bio: The writer is a Professor Emeritus of Political Science, Stockholm University. He is also Honorary Senior Fellow of the Institute of South Asian Studies, National University of Singapore. He can be reached at email@example.com .
A political science professor who does not understand the Strategy of Tension, well, can only be the same sort of likkha-parrha jahils which come out of Western and Pakistani universities, and then go back there to create more jahils. Like the Yale professor writing in her WSJ article – for which my befitting response is this: The Ivy League Morons Syndrome. Or, which is the more likely for a modern House Negroe from Pakistan, perhaps knows only too well which side his bread his buttered!!
So, if you got this far and aren’t fuming enough, or perhaps your sense of humor is enable you to chuckle a little, please permit me to boldly show you, without any false humilty and fake deferences to your lofty credentials – as I am a field negro – what a good analysis looks like, when it is not the ‘likkha parrha jahils’ doing it, but just ordinary peoples, plebes, using a bit of commonsense, some acumen in political science, not that which is taught in universities by ‘likkha-parrha jahils’, but one acquired by studying the Pentagon documents and CFR authors’ narratives and making sense of them by comparing them to empiricism and the many incantations of power which wage wars by way of deception, and to history, again not the one taught in history books written by paid narrators of the victors, but in studying their declassified documents and other alternate sources including the minority reports of both victims and victors alike.
This isn’t some game that respected people like you can just sit back and write disinfo narratives in the service of empire – and not be called out on!
I invite you to refute any untruths below – and to do so boldly. “Agree with me if I seem to you to speak the truth; or, if not, withstand me might and main that I may not deceive you as well as myself in my desire, and like the bee leave my sting in you before I die. And now let us proceed.”
But if you can’t refute anything, short of making facile assertions that is (in which case please read this before rushing to you pen to preemptively know how I might deconstruct more bs: Islamofascism – Zionofascism – Judeofascism – Christofascism – Neofascism etc. ), then, please join me in the common cause for unmasking the hectoring hegemons. I will be most happy to be your humble student in such case, and show all the deference due to a genuine teacher who has just experienced their own metanoia. We are all along different stages of it, I am sure.
