Response to ‘Dawn’s editor or chief of Shia Ghetto Police?’

An op-ed on a small blog of Pakistan run by PPP aficionados both in Pakistan and elsewhere (but not funded by PPP as per their claim) called Let Us Build Pakistan, responded to an editorial titled Sectarian vigilantes that appeared in Pakistan’s largest English language news daily, The Dawn, an establishment mouthpiece whose editor in chief is Mr. Zaffar Abbas, ostensibly a Shia Muslim, with this valid critique which surely resonates among the general Shia Muslim public of Pakistan:

In the last week, DAWN has published atleast 2 articles/editorials that dishonestly obscure the carnage faced by the Shia Muslims across the lenght and breadth of Pakistan. … Dawn’s editorial today is the latest article in Dawn’s drive to twist and misrepresent Shia genocide in Pakistan. Here is a relevant excerpt:

‘AS reported in this paper on Friday, police officials believe that in Karachi, gangs of four to five men usually carry out targeted sectarian killings without any planning or formal instructions from major sectarian outfits. The rise in this trend of communal vigilantism is cause for concern, especially considering the extent of sectarianism in this country. Police officials say that Sunni sectarian groups such as the Sipah-i-Sahaba/Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat and its deadly offshoot Lashkar-i-Jhangvi have begun to target ordinary members of the Shia community, whereas in earlier decades mostly Shia professionals and scholars were killed. Conversely, Shia militants, apparently working under the banner of Sipah-i-Muhammad, have concentrated their attacks on SSP activists. Until 2008, most victims of sectarian violence in Karachi were Shia; however, as the report notes, the past two years have witnessed an increasing number of SSP workers killed, indicating that Shia militants have begun to strike back. As the state has failed to punish sectarian killers, this is the natural outcome. …’

This dishonest drivel not only obscures the violence against Shias by ISI-backed Jihadist groups, it also obscures the role of these Jihadists in the massacre and oppresion of Ahmadis, Sunnis (Brehvis), Christians, Hindus, Pashtuns etc. It also attributes the Shia genocide to the majority of moderate Sunnis who have already rejected and dissociated from Pakistan army backed Jihadip-sectarian terrorists. …

Under Zafar Abbas, brother of ISPR General Athar Abbas, DAWN has continued its downward slide in terms of journalistic ethics and standards and today, barring the odd exception, it can be described as an ISPR mouthpiece.

Founded by the Shia Jinnah and owned by a Shia business family for much of its times, DAWN has printed the most anti-Shia articles in the recent past. For Pakistan’s varied Shia communities, a Shia sellout like Zaffar Abbas is no different from those few Jews who collaborated with Nazis in the genocide of their own people.

Shame on you DAWN. With a rag like yours, is it any wonder that a few Shia youth have taken to vigilantism to protect themselves from total destruction….”

Project responded, a bit belatedly perhaps to this year old editorial (March 20th, 2012), but still with immediate pertinence to the deteriorating conditions in Pakistan amidst the fantasy of the upcoming May 11, 2013 elections bringing “change” to Pakistan. The manufactured euphoria in Pakistan is evidently much the same vintage as witnessed in the United States in its 2008 presidential elections on the “Change” ticket which brought the incumbent President Obama to power for two terms. The first term had commenced with the incoming president immediately bombing Pakistan the day he took office, and most recently his second term peaked in the direct demonstration of America’s military police-state prowess in Boston just this past month. That sort of change any public can surely live without but is the trajectory of all changes any time the word “change” is mentioned. It is the harbinger for what’s coming to Pakistan.

Here is Project Humanbeingsfirst’s response to the notion of “Shia Ghetto Police”.

I would however prefer to re-title that outstanding punch line to Muslim Ghetto Police. This police is worldwide. And especially abundant among the Pakistani academia, thinktanks, NGOs, liberal blogs, conservative blogs, ISI and intelligence run blogs, and the general educated English enabled silent majority middle class, all infected with the Plague of Occidentosis.

(Download and read this book for it truly captures the Pakistani liberated public mind today even though it was written to capture the Iran’s liberated public mind of the 1950s and 1960s — thanks to the one Pakistani blogger I am distinctly aware of who is not infected by this virus, nota at, who many years ago pointed out this seminal study By JALAL AL-I AHMAD, Translated by R Campbell, Introduction by Hamid Algar, written 1961 in Iran and banned until published after the Iranian Revolution. Mizan Press 1984; it can also be downloaded from my website ).

But first, really thank you for this apt reminder [of the Jewish Ghetto Police] with the above caveat:

Jewish Ghetto Police also known as the Jewish Police Service and referred to by the Jews as the Jewish Police, were the auxiliary police units organized in the Jewish ghettos of Europe by local Judenrat councils under orders of occupying German Nazis. Jewish Ghetto Police also known as the Jewish Police Service and referred to by the Jews as the Jewish Police, were the auxiliary police units organized in the Jewish ghettos of Europe by local Judenrat councils under orders of occupying German Nazis. Members of the Jüdischer Ordnungsdienst did not have official uniforms, often wearing just an identifying armband and a badge, and were not allowed to carry firearms. They were used by the Germans primarily for securing the deportation of other Jews to the concentration camps. Members of Shia Ghetto Police in Pakistani media: …”

The mindset of these people, the Muslim Ghetto Police, has hitherto been classified as House Niggers for their self-serving subservient psychology to the massa class ( ) , and I think perhaps the above additional classification captures the actual behavior of this liberated class exhibiting that underlying pernicious psychology most aptly!

This brand of psychology, the house nigger, unfortunately exists among all peoples — the house nigger is ubiquitous today among the Asiatics. So it is only to be expected that every ethnicity, sect, tribe, caste and creed among every people in every nation will have their own sub-chapter of this breed.

They all presuppose in their common and uncommon narrations the massa’s core axioms, the white man’s core truths, as self-evident and beyond question. The house nigger is psychologically unable to come out of that mindset, and therefore their narrow articulation of views particular to their local situation continually carries that often unstated axiom as their presupposition.

Any and all narratives emanating from their pen, their mind, and their speech, are built upon those massa’s core axioms.

Shias are only the latest deadly casualty of imperial carnage conducted by empire’s proxy assets, the pirates, and this beleaguered peoples obviously gravitate to lamenting their own dead as per any socialization and tribal binding, while strictly kept in check as to their publicly proclaimed narratives by their own ethnic Ghetto Police – for such thought-policing has the most impact. The house niggers intuitively understand their own respective field nigger brethren’s psychology all too well — even if they don’t their own — especially if they are the super learned kind, and therefore, can most capably articulate psy-ops and propaganda handed to them by the Mighty Wurlitzer often times remaining quite innocently unaware of their own psychology that moves them to this calumny. This is not mere pop psychology rubbish. See full analysis in my paper

Sunnis are the same. One can easily make a list of the Sunni thought police, their Ghetto Police which keeps them in line.

Mullahs in both sects also serve that function.

And the atheists are no different, nor are the secular humanist.

Among all of them are many of my own friends and colleagues, even co-alums who have studied in America’s best Ivy Leagues — just more “likkha parrha jahils”, economic and science widgets at best, working directly for the massa in the worst, but mostly as useful idiots. Not one of them can rise to debate a single field nigger who is beyond their social and thought control.

I think one has to transcend the Shia–Sunni discourse which has been crafted deliberately, and focus on the core axioms which are the presumed gospel truths in these narratives.

Who is the enemy?

I don’t think Pakistanis should be thinking of themselves as shias and sunnis — [especially] at this time, but as Muslims first, and Pakistanis, with a common psychology which only varies with socialization and religiosity only minimally, and having common enemies.

To understand that, I take a leaf out of the American website salem-news’ iconic activist-author Ken O’Keefe’s book: truth, justice, and peace —- in that order.

To learn the truth, one minimally has to become cognizant of one’s own socialization and political biases, one’s own psychology, all of which create the subversive presuppositions upon which our worldviews are unwittingly based, and which consequently inhibit us from reaching and unraveling the core truths which come wrapped in layers and layers of deceptive and self-serving, often self-deluding narratives.

A great example is the lame article on LUBP: A review of PPP government’s 5-year performance in Pakistan 2008-2013 – by Abdul Nishapuri ( ), quoting from PPP public relations glossy brochures to brazenly deny in the best mold of partisan incestuous self-reinforcement, what every Pakistani knows and feels every fcking day they come back home alive, and there too amidst constant load shedding, water shortage, gas shortage, and armed guards at the gate: that we as a Pakistani people are more fcked today in our nation run by two-bit house nigger elites than we ever were in our nation’s sexagenarian history, and regardless of which asshole comes to power, we will stay on the same curve of descent.

This election fervor and hoopla — the natural entertainment and opiate of the elite and laity alike to give them the illusion of self-empowerment — being witnessed among the learned is a travesty in this day and age. It continually blinds us to reality.

These psychological cataracts, as MLK put it, have to be overcome — and is clearly visible in the lame article referenced above, and in many more like that written by useful idiots who in essence have become the voice of the co-opted house nigger class in Pakistan who don’t get to have a say in the mainstream. A class which transcends economic, racial, ethnic, and sectarian barriers.

How much more self-deluded can people become?

Is it possible to break out of that mindset?

Here is how Malcolm X described that mindset:

Today’s Uncle Tom doesn’t wear a handkerchief on his head. This modern, twentieth-century Uncle Thomas now often wears a top hat. He’s usually well-dressed and well-educated. He’s often the personification of culture and refinement. The twentieth-century Uncle Thomas sometimes speaks with a Yale or Harvard accent. Sometimes he is known as Professor, Doctor, Judge, and Reverend, even Right Reverend Doctor. This twentieth-century Uncle Thomas is a professional Negro … by that I mean his profession is being a Negro for the white man.’ — (Malcolm X, The Autobiography of Malcolm X, 1964, 1999 hardcover edition, Chapter Black Muslims, page 265)

And this is how MLK Jr. captured it:

The white establishment is skilled in flattering and cultivating emerging leaders. It presses its own image on them and finally, from imitation of manners, dress, and style of living, a deeper strain of corruption develops. This kind of Negro leader acquires the white man’s contempt for the ordinary Negro. He is often more at home with the middle-class white than he is among his own people. His language changes, his location changes, his income changes, and ultimately he changes from the representative of the Negro to the white man into the white man’s representative to the Negro. The tragedy is that too often he does not recognize what has happened to him.’ — (Martin Luther King Jr., A Testament of Hope, page 307)

We, as the Pakistani people, continually look to America, and to the West, for the solutions to our problem. Democracy after all, is their panacea inflicted upon the world in the name of self-empowerment — while they manufacture and choose the power-nexus from which we are obliged to choose the front faces. But we strangely also remain steadfast in not learning from their contribution to social sciences and humanities, to political theory and the Machiavellian mechanisms for inducing the very same psychological cataracts which their own civil rights leaders finally broke through.

No — that is way too much intellectual vitamins to swallow for the colonized mind — we will just quote from the massa’s thinktanks and the New York Times.

We will just mirror their narratives.

We will just echo their axioms.

And the range of our divergence from the mainstream narratives and our own thought police, our respective Ghetto police, will remain bounded by the axioms of the white man’s burden ( )

I say — let’s stop carrying that fcking burden on our own backs.

Begin by breaking that language barrier inflicted upon us.

No more Shia and Sunni — Muslim issues, and Pakistan issues, and the common issues being inflicted upon all of us as the untermenschen!

Thank you.
